Trapped
At this point, we’re either living in a full-blown simulation or stuck inside the world’s biggest oxymoron.
Tell me, how does a convicted felon get to decide who’s a “danger” to the United States? Because that’s exactly what’s happening as you read this. Welcome to America 2025, where irony is running the country.
Kilmar Abrego Garcia is sitting in a jail cell in El Salvador right now, caught up in the kind of nightmare you’d expect in a thriller movie, not real life. If you think this is just another news headline you can scroll past. Think again. This isn’t normal. This isn’t justice. This is Scared Straight on steroids, with no happy ending in sight.
If we really loved our so-called “country,” we would’ve protected it from the inside out. We wouldn’t have watched domestic terrorists storm the Capitol on January 6th, only to turn around and reward them with pardons and hero worship. We wouldn’t have let people who attacked the foundation of our democracy waltz out of jail like they stole some Girl Scout cookies. But here we are. And the worst part? Donald Trump and his administration are basically running the country like the Kremlin Jr., giving dictator energy with none of the finesse. They’re ignoring judges, steamrolling the Constitution, and rewriting the rule of law to suit their cosplay of “making America great again” by turning it into a dictatorship.
Let’s be crystal clear, high court judges reviewed Garcia’s case and determined he deserves to be home with his family. Period. But when you live in a nation run on vibes and vendettas, due process means nothing. When the people in power don’t like the outcome, they just ignore it, or even worse, change the rules altogether.
And just when you think it can’t get any more terrifying, Trump floated the idea of shipping “homegrown criminals” code for anyone who disagrees with him, to El Salvador. Let’s not forget, when Donald Trump “floats” an idea, he’s testing the waters. He’s dead serious. Tariffs. Border walls. Muslim bans. He says it out loud first, then watches how much he can get away with before making it law.
At this rate, you can literally be thrown in jail for exercising your First Amendment rights, you know, that thing we all thought was guaranteed. Honestly, I’m risking my life and freedom writing this post right now. Who’s got my bail money? Because apparently, speaking the truth now qualifies you for deportation, exile, or worse. We are living in terrifying, unrecognizable times, and if you’re not scared yet, it’s not because everything is fine. it’s because you’ve been numbed into thinking this level of madness is normal. Spoiler alert: it’s not. And if we don’t wake up soon, the country we love won’t be recognizable at all.
