Bad Omens
On the morning of Easter Sunday, Pope Francis reluctantly met with Vice President, JD Vance. Less than twenty-four hours later the Pope passed away after experiencing a “cerebral stroke”, as the Vatican officials stated.
Whether or not Vance being the last official to meet with the Pope truly holds some message from the universe, it certainly paints a picture. The picture - much like the mural of Mark S. completing cold harbor in the season two finale of Severance - holds an abundance of information, that the observer can interpret and speculate on in search of the greater meaning.
Alone, the pope dying the morning after Easter - or after meeting with Vance would be odd. Both of them happening together is interesting.
Severance seems to draw in two types of viewers: the surface level enjoyer who watches solely for entertainment, and the viewer searching for every detail, pausing and analyzing, desperate to find the deeper message. There is a parallel to religion in this. The atheists accepts life for what it is that you can see and know. The religious needs to find meaning and the comfort of more.
Some people can be content with the answer that Pope Francis died simply because he was old and sick. Likely, the same people that assume that Mark’s mural was another awkward attempt by Lumon to celebrate an achievement. But for the people who are not - this is what I see between the lines of the Pope’s death…
I will preface by saying, this is not a prediction of future course of events. It is purely an analysis of the universe’s artistry.
To set the scene: JD Vance, is Trump’s much younger counterpart, he represents the future of the party. Vance converted to Catholicism in 2019 - a perfect figure head for the right-wing take over of the religion and its subsequent descent into fascism.
Pope Francis was what the Bible taught catholics to be. The fringe write wrongfully painted him as the “woke” pope. So that’s how he’s depicted in this illustration.
Pope Francis, denied a meeting with Vance - a just fight against the marching right that use religion as a shield in the battle. Then on Easter Sunday, the day the signifies the rebirth Christ. The Pope ultimately agreed to a brief meeting.
The two shook hands, perhaps a sign of truce. But it was only an Easter ceasefire, for in the morning the Pope was dead.
The right won this battle.

I think the universe is sending omen’s every day - if we are willing to see them then maybe we’ll get through this. 🩷
